Tailored Graduation Plan (MAP): JILC offers a customized graduation plan designed to meet students’ unique academic needs and goals.

Success Process: The program follows specific processes to ensure student success, including the use of electronic learning modules as supplementary tools.

Credit Accumulation: Students can earn up to 24 credits in less than 24 months.

Cohort Reentry: Students who get back on track to graduate with their cohort will return to their home school.

Service Focus:

Middle School: JILC supports over age students in middle school.

High School: The program focuses on an accelerated graduation track for over age and at-risk high school students.

Program Description:

The JILC program is designed as a scholastic achievement solution for secondary school completion. It provides a structured platform for student success through innovative, yet practical processes aimed at increasing the district’s graduation rate while reducing the dropout rate.

Academic Review Process:

Referral: Students are referred by a counselor or administrator based on their transcript, not disciplinary history.

Candidate Criteria: Candidates must be at least 14 years old and two grade levels (two years) behind. They are at risk of not graduating with their cohort.

Transcript Evaluation: Once candidates are identified, their transcripts will be evaluated to determine their eligibility for the program.

Individualized Plan: Upon approval, an individualized plan will be created for each student to guide their path to graduation.

College and Career Readiness:  Students are provided with opportunities to participate in college and career development programs, work-based learning (WBL) experiences, and earn industry credentials, all aimed at ensuring they are fully prepared for both college and career paths.
