In an effort to enhance safety and preparedness in the face of seismic events, the Jefferson Innovative Learning Center is pleased to announce the successful completion of a comprehensive earthquake drill. The exercise took place on October 19th and involved students, staff, and faculty to ensure the entire school community is well-prepared for potential seismic events in the region.

Fayette County, nestled on the New Madrid fault line, is no stranger to the potential risks associated with earthquakes. As a responsible educational institution, Jefferson Innovative Learning Center recognizes the importance of proactively preparing for such natural disasters.

The earthquake drill, which was executed with the utmost professionalism and commitment, included practicing "Drop, Cover, and Hold On" techniques, evacuation procedures, communication protocols, and post-earthquake safety measures. Students, teachers, and staff members actively participated in the drill, ensuring that they are well-equipped to respond swiftly and effectively in the event of an actual earthquake.
